PEI Day 4 - Green Gables Heritage Site

The Green Gables Heritage Site is part of Parcs Canada. This is a wonderful experience and one we enjoyed very much. The home belonged to cousins of Montgomery's grandfather. Here is where she drew inspiration for many of her stories. The walking paths around the grounds were the inspiration for Lovers Lane and the Haunted Woods. Her Cavendish home is but a memory, but you can walk from this house to the ruins of her Cavendish home and final resting place.
