Now late in the afternoon, we arrive at the Museum, Musee Des Beaux-Arts de Montreal.
The temporary exhibit is the work of artist Tom Wesselmann. His work did not move neither Bob or I, and sadly, the exhibits of french impressionists and other works I would have loved to have seen, closed at 5:00 PM. Photography is prohibited, but I did get a few pictures of the lobby and exterior of this lovely museum.
Now it's time for a short walking tour of this area.
Montreal is such a complex city of old together with new, utterly cosmopolitan in every way, both multi cultural and multi lingual. Now Michel takes us down to one of many parks on the St. Lawrence Seaway near where they once lived.
Note the people playing in the rapids, in this case not formed by rocks, but by the uneven bottom of the seaway. Yes, it is quite warm during this visit. Every day is in the high 80s.
As if this second day of touring Montreal isn't complete enough, Michel and Diane take us to this concert in a church. It is a brass quintet, quite enjoyable, and a wonderful way to end our day.
This final picture, a painting of the shoe store Michel used to own prior to his retirement, was on exhibit in the rear of the church. Day two of Montreal has been a full day indeed!
