Moving north, we are now in Bayfield WI, gateway to the Apostle Islands, which we visited on a previous trip. It's a lovely little town and we so enjoy the picturesque views. Can't imagine what this place looks like in February!
Regrettably it's late in the afternoon, and the Maritime Museum is already closed. They certainly have an impressive building.
The one thing we consistently notice in colder climates is how nice the gardens are. Everyone, it seems, takes advantage of the warmer weather to include a garden. As a special bonus, this one even has a garden fairy!
Hey, we even find a fish boil. We participated in one of these when we were in Door County a few years back. All I can say is, everything tastes better drenched in butter.
Finally, a look at the National Park Service Headquarters with a view of a typical street and house in Bayview. Very nice!
