Our first stop is the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitor's Center. This is one beautiful building with interesting displays and exhibits. We also receive excellent advice in what to do and see during our visit.

Friday noon time features entertainment in the town square.
Upon eyeing this sign, my mind conjured up a dating service, perhaps? No! A clever real estate agent had it painted to attract a buyer to restore this once loved, and now defunct, hotel.
Time for lunch, and this Italian restaurant looks and smells good. We decide to give it a try and are not disappointed!
On the deck of the restaurant, I spot the Elks Lodge across the River.
After lunch, we continue our tour. Downtown seems a little run down and tired to us. Friends who live here agree.

Time to go back to The Popeye Express for some rest. Tomorrow we plan a trip to Creamer's Field.
