Today we've decided to drive as far north and east on Maine's coast as possible, up to the easternmost town of Lubec, and over the bridge to New Brunswick, CA to visit the summer home of FDR, known as Roosevelt Campobello International Park. Along the way I find an interesting old cemetery.

Crossing the bridge, we clear Canadian Customs and find ourselves on Campobello Island, The first thing we see is the view back to Lebec and the pretty Mulholland Lighthouse.

Next, we drive over to the Franklin D. Roosevelt summer home and take a tour. The Canadian docents are wonderful, but the rooms rather small for photography.

After viewing the displays and the visitor center, we get to tour the house and grounds.

Most of these pictures are taken from the hallway, as the rooms themselves are usually inaccessible. Hopefully, you'll get an idea of how pretty this home really is. Of course looking over the bay directly at Lubec is pretty awesome!

Finally, we drive out to East Quoddy Lighthouse. Here we find several people with binoculars out whale watching, apparently successfully so!
