It's impossible to visit all the monuments in a single trip to our nation's capital, but you know Bob and I will try! On our last visit, we never could get to the Theodore Roosevelt monument, located on an island on the Potomac. You can be certain we found it this time around. Here is some of what we saw.
Commemorating the Korean War:
Can't remember this next one, but you can see fall is in all its glory.
The World War II monument is breathtaking. In a circle, each quarter represents one of the theaters with the pool in the center - awesome!
Finally, we find Teddy!
This guy doesn't look bronze to me - is everyone still awake?
Finally, we end with honoring the women who serve, African American's, and of course, the Viet Nam Memorial.
Last but not least, a glimpse of more contemporary life.
Coming up next: Views of the City, inside Ford's Theater, and the National Geographic Society.
